Ralph Edwards just passed away. He was ninety-two.

First thought in my head was: "Ralph Edwards — This is Your Death!"

I am Going to Hell.

I put a link to the latest (okay, first and only, so far) podcast on the left, under the Linkage heading. If When I do a new one, I'll delete the old one, replace the link, and change the date. At least till I decide if I'm going to keep doing this on a regular basis.

Blog in Space sent me an email telling me they think that Ali G is an alien, because he's been talking smack with NBA players.

I said to myself, very eloquently, "Huh."

I mean, Dennis Rodman is an NBA player and he seems far less humanoid than Ali G.

On the other hand ...

... Ali G is a character, portrayed by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen ...

... who is currently in danger of being sued by the foreign ministry of Kazakhstan because another character he portrays, named Borat, depicts Kazakhistanians? Kazakhs? their citizens as drunken slobs who enjoy cow violence as a sport.

Kazakhstan is, for those of you not geeky enough to know this off the tops of your heads (in other words, quooler than I am), the home of ...

... the Baikonur cosmodrome, which is the world's biggest space launch center.

Coincidence?

Or has the hole in the ozone layer begun leaking our senses of humor out of the atmosphere?

If Ali G is an Earthling, then he's a fictional character on a television show, and he's doing what he does.

I personally don't think Sacha Baron Cohen is all that, so I ignore him. If you don't like him, you can do that, too.

It's not — pardon me — rocket science.

If he is an alien, I hope he'll hook me up with extraterrestrial beer. My towel and I would be most grateful.
