i'm dreaming of a white ... whatever

My original organized religion, my heritage, is Jewish.

Over the years, I have filtered the better part of the "organized" part from my religion, adding bits of Buddhism, Christianity, Muslim, and Hinduism to taste, creating a disorganized religion all my own, called Golfwidowism.

One of my more obnoxious coworkers, knowing this about me, nevertheless said to me before the office closed Thursday, "Tell the Baby Jesus I said Happy Birthday."

Could we please be any more blatantly incorrect? I mean, that's not just intolerant, it's impolite, no matter to whom it's addressed.

However, I recognized that he was doing this to see if he could get me either to proselytize, or to lose my temper, so instead I just said, "I'm not an owl, Ronald," (Harry Potter reference) and left him to try to figure it out.

Peace on Earth, which I think we ought all to agree on even if we don't all celebrate the same way.

May your instruction manuals be comprehensive, if not comprehensible, and may your batteries be included.
