how late can you stay up?

Dixie and I are doing an online toast at 1:00 a.m. eastern New Year's Day, which is midnight central (Dixie) time.

The rules are, there are no rules.

At 1:00 a.m., I personally will be doing a short post in here with my toast and what I am drinking. If I can think of something else to say, I will, but I'm not planning on it.

You may either comment on my post with your toast and what you are drinking, or post it in your own blog, whichever.

If you can't keep your eyes open that long, toast us whenever, because we'll know you're thinking about it anyway.

If you don't or can't drink alcohol, that's what ginger ale and diet Sprite are for.

I really would like some eggnog, but with a milk allergy I'm guessing I would regret the hell out of it.

Happy New Year, unless you don't observe the solar new year because your religion is based on a lunar year, in which case, happy annual resetting of the calendar of the country in which you've established residency.

If you're an Enzedder or some other IDL-sufferer, I'm a day late and a dollar short. Sorry about that.
