As you can see, my Permapenguin came home. This means absolutely nothing to you unless you ever need a link to a specific entry. But I missed him and I'm glad to see him.

But he took his sweet freakin' time coming home, so now he's so grounded that the light from "off punishment" won't even reach him for another hundred and forty-three squijillion years.

From my morning meeting:

Me: The recording has to match the text verbatim, in order to be hearing-impaired-compliant.
Smart-Aleck #1: What?
Me: (laughs politely)
Smart-Aleck #2: Ah, a Peter Townshend disciple.

(Now I am impressed by Smart-Aleck #2 for having cried back to a member of one of my all-time favorite bands, who has suffered hearing loss as a result of amplified music piping into his earphones for the better part of forty years. I must make mention of this.)

Me (now aliased Smart-Aleck #3): Wh♂?

And they all look at me as if I'm some kind of ignorant Peter Townshend-illiterate, instead of the brilliant esoteric brain-confettiac that I am.

I got a 7½" hollow-edged santoku chef's knife for my wedding anniversary. It is a thing of beauty. Garlic will be minced tonight. Fear the mad mincing skillz.

As big of a dork as That Man of Mine can be, and still give me a sharp knife as a gift ... either he's fearless or he trusts my inherent good nature. More fool him.
