![]() sad day 02/01/2006 = 03:56 PM Kidneygurl is a dear woman whom I first encountered on Diaryland. In an ultimate act of love and unselfishness, she donated one of her kidneys to her husband, Richard. She never sat around, whining about her husband's condition, never begged for pity, never did anything other than keep a record of what it is to be a kidney donor, to be the wife of a kidney recipient, just trying to help others understand and also to show others in the same situation how to cope. Richard's health recently took a turn for the worse, and we circled our wagons and sent our vibes, prayers, good thoughts, whatever we believed in, just as hard as we could, just hoping for whatever would be best (or, G0d's will be done — however your idea system prefers to convey that notion). Last night, Richard passed away. I have too many thoughts and emotions right now. I have to talk to the G0d I believe in (He's probably not the same one you believe in, and I hope you're not going to start having a problem with that right now, because if you are, your timing sucks) and get the anger sorted out. I'm ready to throw down on Kidneygurl's behalf and I don't think she'd want that. Plus, you never want to throw down against Someone who has a reputation for being Almighty. That's a confrontation that cannot possibly end well. Don't even worry about me. I'll get my brain together in a bit. But please, go visit Kidneygurl and give her what comfort you may. Then go hug everyone you love, because believe me, you'll never have enough time to tell them how much they mean to you. drinking: lemon fruit2o that man of meme - September 21, 2008 7:37 PM uncanny danny - September 18, 2008 8:42 AM parrot update - September 14, 2008 1:27 PM frog update - August 30, 2008 10:49 AM
