So far, everyone has pretty much convinced me that I'm wrong about Dumbledore and he really is dead.

It's okay; I can live with being wrong. I just sort of hoped.

You always do, when someone dies.

If it's a fictional character, there's at least a chance of it, though it stretches the boundaries of credibility. With a fantasy character, there are incidences the author can create in the fantasy world that could, conceivably, increase the chances slightly.

Real life, not so much.

See, it's on my mind a lot, lately. Two years ago Saturday was when my parents' friends' son Rob was killed in that train accident, and one year ago tomorrow is the anniversary of my friend Keith's death.

Then, Pirategirl's mom died today.

Also, today would have been my grampa's birthday. He's been gone now for twenty-eight years, and I still miss him every day.

(I think you're sort of starting to see why I dislike the month of March so much.)

You know the real people aren't ever coming back. It'd be a little easier to take, if some of the imaginary ones could.
