This is my 1,100th entry.

(Unless you're reading this on Bloglines or Blogcharm, where I crosspost, in which case, this is a mirror of the 1,100th entry on golfwidow.net.)

Now is when I'm supposed to say how it seems like only yesterday that I was struggling to write enough decent content in my Diaryland diary to come up with at least a hundred posts.

It doesn't, though. I've been writing my widdoo fingoos off for four and a half years and it does not bloody feel like yesterday.

If your butt is perpetually numb and everything you see gets mentally noted as, "I've got to remember that for later," you might be a blogger freelance web writer.

I'm still a hack, but I'm a tenacious one, so get off me.

And I do have half-a-dozen or so pieces floating around the publishing world waiting to be returned to me because they don't suit whoever's present needs.

(In this P.C. world where everything has become a euphemism, how come we, who are supposed to be writers and good with language, have yet to come up with a less crushing term than "rejection slip"?)

At any rate, in honor of my having done this thing eleven hundred times for my own amusement and (in passing and by default) provoking, angering, bewildering, and distracting others who surf these not-so-hallowed pages, Michael Manning has interviewed me.

Actually, that's not so much true as it is an accident on his part and purposeful on mine. He was going to interview me anyway, and I was at 1,099, so I skipped doing an extra entry in between so his interview and this post would coincide.

The fact that both his interview and this eleven hundredth post appear on June 11th is a genuine coincidence, as Michael always posts new interviews on Sundays.
