![]() did you hear the one about ted murphy? 10/05/2006 = 04:46 PM Most bloggers with integrity are hell-bent on offering the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, for no reimbursment. Others make up entire personas out of whole cloth, not giving a damn whom they hurt in the process — but still don't get paid for it. Whereas I am more than willing to sacrifice both the truth and my
self respect for money, because I am broke, and PayPerPost, the concept that
at least lets you pick and choose how you want to let them use your space for
ads on blogs, is so willing to hook
me up that they don't care if I Seriously. I can get paid for making up a rumor — the more creative the better. Ted Murphy, the founder of PayPerPost, has a bestial crush on Duke, the Bush's Baked Beans dog who can't keep the Bush's Secret Family Recipe a secret. "Duuuuuke ..." Though you gotta hand it (paw it?) to the Murph — that's some creative marketing right there. Today is Monty Python's Birthday, another of the very few holidays observed in Golfwidowism. No gifts. No traditions, actually, except saying, "Happy Monty Python's Birthday!" to everyone. Though I keep saying that one year I'll go caroling and sing the Camelot Song, the Lumberjack song, and Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, I never get up the bottles to actually do it.
