Too many people this week are making me want to ask them, "How in the name of Cheez-its am I supposed to miss you when you WON'T GO AWAY?"

Toad's has been around for thirty years, but even if they hadn't, they have not been cited for "underage drinking." They may have been cited for serving alcohol to minors, but that's so totally beyond not being the same thing that the light from sameness won't even reach it for another ninety-two million years.

How did Haloscan rate a halo? Everyone's site I've been going to lately, it's been nothing but a nasty little demon.

So the other day, I said to That Man of Mine, "You never take me anywhere nice to eat anymore."

He said, "What are you talking about? We just went to Olive Garden."

I said, "I'm only going to say this one more time ..."

Anyway, I shouldn't have looked the gift horse in the mouth.

He took me to Doogie's. Home of the World's Longest Hot Dog.

I did take a picture of it on the hood of my car, but the picture from their website makes it a little more vivid.

I ate about a quarter of it, went back to it once and tried again, but then I lost interest in it after that and the other twelve inches went to waste, because bigger is not necessarily better. However, I can now cross the longest hot dog in the world off my life-list.

I think That Man thinks this is going to get him off the hook, datewise, but I still would like to dress up and go eat where the decor does not include any signs that say, "Red Sox Fans Welcomed. Yankees Fans Tolerated."

Is anyone listening to the podcast, still? I can understand if you hate the new format, which is a) very new, b) very different, and c) has dick jokes, but I was having so much trouble trying to talk to myself.

I need Andy in there to bounce off of. Really. And he's a born entertainer, whereas I am a hack, so the culture level drops but the delivery is far better.

More importantly, I actually enjoyed the creative process for the first time in ages, which makes it worthwhile for me even if no one else likes listening to it anymore. You know. You grow.
