I just read about a surgical technique called "threadlift." They throw some heavy-duty sutures under your skin, attach them to your subcutaneous tissue, and there's this "unidirectional cog" involved, that gathers and raises the tissue when the tension is adjusted.

I'm thinking that Facelifts for Fishermen would be a good name for a rock band, and their first single should be a cover of Steely Dan's Reelin' in the Years.
