I have heard a delicious rumor that Fraggle Rock is going to be made into a live-action feature.

Could this mean, finally, that Statler and Waldorf From the Balcony will actually have something good to say about a film?

That would be so weird.

I heart this site.

Once one's topic of conversation has turned to Fraggles, one can safely say that one has no news.

(Well, the final episode of A Weekend of Ill-Conceived Notions is up at http://golfwidow.podOmatic.com, and Andy and I are gearing up to do another recording session to begin with for next week, so I guess that's sort of interesting, depending on whether or not you like recycled dick jokes. Andy has totally raised the humor bar on the podcast, even if he has lowered the average age level from thirty-something to Beavis.)

The only other news of note is that I took another painkiller the other night. This is always newsworthy because I hate those stupid things; they mess with my thought processes and I can't shake the effects when I need to.

Newsworthiness the First, Due to Painkiller Effects:

That Man of Mine: (blathering about baseball score that has no impact upon our lives and/or holds no interest for me).
Me: (singing) "Blah, blah, fishcakes, have you tartar sauce? Yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am, but (whining in imitation of Himself) the Mets just lost!"

There were two of us in that conversation. Oddly, only the one on the painkiller thought that was funny.

It's all good, though, because I thought it was funny enough for both of us.

Newsworthiness the Second, Due to Painkiller Effects:

Me: I want to meet some young people so I can say, "You whippersnappers. Why, I remember all the way back to when Jamie and Adam built the chicken gun."
That Man of Mine: Why don't you have a little liedown?
Me: Shut the fuck up, bitch. 'Cos I'll kill you.
