when you wish upon a star

I wished the space program could get a little press time, and it took the crazy actions of an astronaut (or the actions of a crazy astronaut; the jury's still out on which of those statements is true) to make that happen.

Then I wished something would happen to make the bad press on the space program dissipate.

Nothing like a dead star to detract from live astronauts.

Of course, I also wished I could get thin nice and quickly. You know, like the star who will soon be nothing but bones. Literally.

I don't feel like talking about any of this, when I could be telling you about being naked at work.

Ah, now that got your attention.

The other day, I think I was the only person in the office not wearing a sweater vest.

Color me edgy. Color my coworkers argyle.

(Nothing wrong with argyle, in and of itself, just not enough right with it.)

That's all I have, really. I mean, some other stuff, about eating nothing for dinner the other night but four slices of raisin toast, and making Batten's Unrepentant Corn Chowda for dinner tonight (see her post about it for the description. Ask her for the recipe) and the podcast, which is our Very Special Valentine's Episode. Feel the Love. But other than that, nothing much.

Although I guess that that chowda is going to be pretty much the opposite of Trim Spa, baby.
