Perma Penguin
omg not shoes
05/03/2007 = 05:47 AM

I know that, as a girly-girl, I should care about OMG SHOES, but I don't.

Because, hello.

Asian store.
Asian store.
Asian store.
OMG.
Asian store.
Let's get some Pocky.
Let's get some bubble tea.
Let's get some Pocky.
Let's get some bubble tea.
Asian store.
Asian store.
Asian store.
OMG, Asian store.
Asian store.
This store rules.
This store rocks.
This store rules.
This store rocks!
Asian store.
Asian store.
Asian store.
OMG, Asian store.
This store rules.
This store rocks.
This store rocks.
This store rocks!
I think you had too much Pocky.
Shut up!
I think you had too much bubble tea.
Shut up!
I think you had too much Pocky.
Shut up!
I think you had too much bubble tea.
Shut up!
Stupid boy.
Stupid boy.
Let's get some bubble tea.
Let's Pocky.
This tea is three dollars.
This tea is three dollars.
This tea is only three dollars.
Let's get it!
Um...there's milk in that tea. I don't think you should have it.
I mean, you do have a dairy allergy.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh, by the way, dickhead,
FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU

(That whole song came out sounding un-P.C. and vaguely xenophobic, I suppose, but it is what it is. You go try to get a bubble tea and a box of strawberry Pocky at a deli or a pizzeria.)

Yes, someplace within five hundred miles of my home finally opened a bubble tea bar.

Ninth Square, to be precise.

And yes, I totally bounced up and down and squealed, "I want a purple straw! I want a purple straw!" whilst waiting for the very polite (are they baristas, at a bubble tea bar?) bubble-tea-dude to make up my tea.

Thirty-six, going on seven.

I had never had bubble tea before. I swore I would not buy a box to mix at home till I had tried it at least once to find out if I liked it.

I like it. A lot.

But I'm still not going to mix it at home, because the Asian store also has the Pocky.

Shoes? The really nice ones cost an arm and a leg, and you can only buy them in pairs, which isn't cost effective once you've already spent one of your legs.

I can afford Pocky and bubble tea, and they keep me from crying save the more annoying people in my life from the full onslaught of my wrath give me the happy in a tumultuous world. Really. I have high standards, but I'm not very high maintenance.
