I have another, more time-sensitive post that I really ought to go ahead and put up, but I have to take a picture of something and I keep not having the camera and the something in the same place at the same time whilst remembering that I am supposed to be applying the one to the other.

However, I have Other Fine Qualities.

Anyway, I've noticed that lots of people post nice neat checklists of things to do and put strikethroughs on the completed items.

I already do this in my antiquated (but if the technology works I don't throw it away, and thanks for that quote, Doug Snyder) PDA for my real chores.

No one needs to know about my mundanities and inanities but me and the people for whom I perform them.

I get shit done and I don't ask for applause on that scale, mostly because, when they give you money, that's their show of appreciation for doing what you're supposed to do.

I'm sure they'd stop giving me the cash if I wasn't doing it somewhat right.

Anyway, I like everyone else's to-do lists, and sometimes, I want my little pat-on-the-back for being Every Woman, so I decided to do a separate one in here too, because it will make me look very busy and accomplished.

• Finish reading Carl Sagan's Billions and Billions.
• Declare Hey There Delilah by Plain White Tees to be my favorite song this week.
• Get myself a cheapass gift for my Five Year Smokefreeversary (August 18).
• Watch Clash of the Titans and wish I had Bubo the Owl.
• Make le saucisson beurre cornichon avec frites.
• Mail someone's birthday present, because That Man of Mine said he did it two weeks ago and, when she didn't mention having received it, and I asked him about it, only then did he remember that, oh, yeah, he went to the post office, but forgot to mail the only thing I'd asked him to mail.
• Mentally substitute the word "stupid" for "sorry" when That Man of Mine apologizes to me.
• Win the lottery.

Almost all of it done. I think I deserve a nap.
