i am an ungrateful wretch

I have so much to say.

I can't stop thinking about myself completely, right now; as much as I would like to be that selfless, I'm just not.

But I just found out that Captive Firefly's dad passed away yesterday. It's been a harrowing past few months for her, with a relationship ending, then her dad being ill with no one being in agreement as to what was causing it, and now he's gone.

She's locked, but if you have her password or contact information (I won't give it out without permission), do stop by and give her what comfort you may.

I am absolutely miserable with myself for having been so self-absorbed that I forgot how lucky I am.

I have such good friends, friends who have stepped up for me, offering me job opportunities and recommendations, paying me for guest posts.

I'll place links to all of these fine people (except those of you, you know who you are, and I love you so, so much, who said, "I'd rather be anonymous").

Some of you clicked the button and paid for a post, but then, when I sent it, you said, "Well, you didn't actually have to write anything; I just wanted to help." I'll still post a link to your blog. You deserve something for your trouble.

But I'm going to point out one site in particular, even though he hasn't posted my guest post yet ... partly because I'm not sure he's actually going to post it.

Things I'm Grateful For is actually pretty much of a stranger to me. It's a highly personal site, which is why I don't think he's going to post what I wrote. His daily posts consist of lists of things that he likes, things he hopes to manifest, things he's done for others ... things, not to put too fine a point on it, that he is grateful for.

I needed reminding, and he reminded me.

I am so grateful.

I think he'd be grateful for some traffic. Please give him that, if you've got a moment.

As for everyone else, I'm not going to wait 'round for you to post what I've written, especially since, in some cases, I haven't written it yet. (I'm all over it, though. I'm going to earn every penny you throw my way. Budgetary constraint, my pale white arse.) You just deserve your propers for being so supportive of me.

Tell you what. Even if you don't see a post by me on these sites, read them anyway. These are fine people and damned good writers/photographers.
