The other day, Avitable asked people to comment on their favorite comfort food.

At the time, I couldn't narrow it down to one, because I have a lot.

I'm not a fussy eater, plus I'm not a small girl, which is not accidental. Just about anything edible and tasty will make me happier than I would be if I just left it there uneaten.

Put bluntly, I do eat to nourish myself, but I also eat to give myself happiness that would not be in my life otherwise. I accept this of myself, I do what I can to control it, but it's there and I cannot deny it.

However, I'd had a curry the previous week that had, for several hours after consumption, actually made me feel better about the universe, and that was what I cited as my example in Avi's comments.

I think Avi was less than thrilled by my answer, but it can't be helped. Comes of always being encouraged to try a little of everything. You may direct any complaints to the Mom.

As far as more traditional comfort foods are concerned, I have a kinky tale for you all.

Yes, That Man of Mine and I got our Freaky Deaky on last night. I was Mistress, he was Slave.

No boot licking or whippings took place.

Rather, he was obligated to dress and leave the house, not to return without a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread; four slices of which he was then forced to toast, butter, cut into triangles, and serve to me in bed with a cup of tea.

Now, that is some comfort food with which I think even Avi can be okay (if not in total agreement).

I already know what his readers like, from his post. Let's hear yours. Comments are awesome.

I would also like to know if I am all alone in the curry thing, or if everyone else thinks, as Avi does, that curry cannot be considered as a comfort food.
