The recession has caused me to give a whole lot less of a shit about what shenanigans Paris Hilton is up to.

Furthermore, I've heard Donald Trump took time from his being-bankrupt-and-having-wretched hair-schedule to call Rihanna a loser. Mr. Trump, the pot just texted you: U R A BLACK KETTLE.

I'm not saying I'm not a loser, myself. I'm just, to paraphrase Jon Stewart (who just became my next future ex-husband, just behind Austin Tichenor), saying, "We both sell snake oil, but at least around here we do refer to it as snake oil."

I have other random thoughts, most of them bursting forth, fresh and wonderful, only to be completely stale by the time I get around to posting them. Like making popcorn but not getting to eat it whilst it's still hot enough to melt its own butter.

I just checked everything I had been saving up for today and none of it is relevant anymore.

Fortunately, I have never let relevance, or lack thereof, prevent me from voicing an opinion about something.

Dear [name redacted to protect the culprit]:

I know your chili is right, and everyone else's is wrong, because I believe the same thing, as does everyone else in the Universe.

However, you happen to be mistaken about yours. Brown sugar may or may not belong in chili (I think not, myself, but am willing to concede that as a manner of opinion); that said, if you've overpowered the chili flavor with sweetness, it's not chili anymore. It's dessert.

Which means, stop adding ground beef to it. You're not fooling anyone.
