In a few months (August 18th to be precise), it's going to be my seven year smokeaversary, but I happened to look down at my Mr. Teabag Smoke Free Countdown and I realized that I haven't had a single puff of a cigarette, not even whilst drinking (which some people say doesn't count, but since I wasn't sure I never did it), for two thousand, five hundred days as of today.

I may suck at anything else in the world, and I already know my willpower is for shit when it comes to staying away from the pretzels or the crinkly fries, but as bad as I am at constantly craving cigarettes, I am equally talented at not giving in.

I am therefore giving myself premature propers for it, and when my smokeaversary comes up in August, I am going to try to budget in a little something celebratory for myself.

(No, clean lungs are not enough of a reward for me. If they were, I'd have quit years earlier.)
