My new position at the courier service with the chocolatey brown trucks is challenging, stressful, intensive, and interesting as all hell. If I wasn't so exhausted I'd be more excited about it, but I just finished my seventh work day without a day off and I'm a bit burnt out.

Anyway.

How long ago did Paradise Theater by Styx come out? Nearly thirty years?

Why did I never notice that, in the song Too Much Time on My Hands, Tommy Shaw continually misuses the expression "Is it any wonder?"

The correct way to ask if something is "any wonder" is in agreement with the situation, as in, to paraphrase Mr. Shaw, "I'm unemployed, it's only noon, and I'm at the bar, bored. IS IT ANY WONDER I'm crazy?"

Instead, in the song, Tommy keeps disagreeing.

"Is it any wonder I'm NOT crazy? Is it any wonder I'm SANE at all?"

And so on.

The only thing I'm wondering is how I'm managing to have time on my own hands to wonder about any of this with my hectic schedule.

Oh, yeah. Insomnia.
