bits, bites, and bud

GW: As I recall, there is an amusing story in your book that brings The Loo to mind. But people will have to purchase the book from you to laugh over it. However, I can vouch that it's worth it! :D)

[There is ... that's why this is version 2.0.]

As for Bud's EP, it is incredible. I agree!!

I like pork liver sausage, so you and I are doing our part! I'll check out Bud later...if I start now, I'll be late for work.

[Good things come to those who wait.]

Go have a Thursday. I'm gonna try.

[I never could get the hang of Thursdays.]

p.s. note the new URL...

[Poor, poor Diaryland. They were good when they were all there was, but even then they had a nasty habit of not giving one one's money's worth, and now they are paying for their crappy service karma. -- GW]

Thanks for that, GW! Yes I'd like to see more Bud-ists, it's true. This marks the first time I was mentioned in the same article as both liver and toilets. It's easy to make a connection, I hope, between the latter two.

first of all, i don't joke about other people's food.
or maybe i do.
how about i won't grief you for eating chopped liver if you don't make fun of me for eating cheerios and bananas for three meals in a row.

[I like Cheerios with bananas, but I have to use soy milk, so it's inferior (in my opinion). Sometimes I use vanilla soy chai, which is fantastic, even though That Man pokes fun of me putting tea in my cereal.]

do you know what i miss? sugar sandwiches. i haven't had one in years. bread, butter and sugar. it might be unique to growing up in rural idaho, i don't know. i have a feeling it wouldn't taste as good as when i was 5 years old.

[In New England, we used brown sugar, but I always preferred cinnamon toast. More of a comfort food feel, especially when it was cold out. -- GW]

For a minute there, I thought you were talking about Kevin Gilbert.

My philosophy on toilet seats is - any given person needing to use the toilet should put the toilet in the appropriate mode for their particular use, before using for that use.

Or, "Look before you pee."

[I pretty much wind up doing that anyway. But I also leave it in good shape for the next person to come in and begin without prep on their part. -- GW]

we have the same taste buds!
i love vanilla soy too. silk. sometimes i get the silk lite too.
except for the chopped liver.
cinammon toast! yummm. that's another thing i haven't had for years.

only you would even attempt a poem based on pastrami.

[Not true. Guy Fieri might. I would just be better at it.]

i'm ready to grow some tomatoes. i'm tired of "winter" tomatoes, hot house tomatoes, the ones that have no flavor.
we planted an o'henry peach tree over the weekend. the nursery said we might get a peach or two this summer, but we should have a full crop next year. the tree is only maybe 4 feet tall, so i'll be able to reach them all!
hey- that rhymes!

I enjoyed the poem, you rhyming swami, you.

[Thanks for not calling me a commie.]

I miss the Herschel's Deli restaurants that used to be in Southern California. They were nice to me and always brought a side of teriyaki sauce for my potato latkes.
Don't know if that counts as not-kosher . . . (said the gay goy).

[You're the gay guy, goy, who likes soy. -- GW]
